UK unveils life-sized statue of Joe B. Hall
Despite a steady rain, dozens of friends, fans and supporters turned
out early Tuesday morning for a gathering outside the new UK
basketball lodge for the unveiling of a life-sized statue of former
coach Joe B. Hall.
The statue, created by sculptor J. Brett Gill, depicts Hall seated
on the Kentucky bench, his familiar program rolled up in his right
hand.
Current coach John Calipari said a majority of the credit should go to
UK booster Joe Craft, who helped initiate the project and see it
through to its conclusion.
