Josh Allen had a career night in Kentucky’s 20-13 win over Vanderbilt inside Commonwealth Stadium. The sophomore had six tackles which included 1.5 sacks and added a QB hurry. That 1.5 sack is a career high and now Allen is tied for the team lead in sacks with 4.5. After the game Josh Allen talked about the defense turning this season around and his counterpart Denzil Ware.
Denzil Ware continued his great play, in the win over Vandy he had six tackles of those 2.5 were tackles for loss and of those tackles for loss 1.5 were sacks. The 2.5 tackles for loss was a career high for Ware, and he is now the team leader in that category with 7 tackles for loss this season. After the game he spoke about the defense’s mentality and playing with Josh Allen.
Sophomore corner back Derrick Baity had seven tackles against Vanderbilt which is a career high. Baity talked about the team bouncing back after a tough start to the season.
