After Kentucky’s 85-69 win over South Carolina Derek Willis, Dominique Hawkins and Malik Monk spoke to the media.
The senior played a season high 29 minutes and scored 12 points and had a game high 7 rebounds. Willis talks about his big dunk, the team adjusting without De’Aaron Fox and the line up with himself and Wenyen Gabriel playing together.
Hawkins scored 5 ponts and dished out a game high 7 assists. The senior guard talked about stepping in after De’Aaron Fox’s injury, Derek Willis’ dunk and taking charges.
The freshman lead the team with 27 points including hitting 4 three pointers. Monk spoke about bouncing back after a subpar performance at Mississippi State, adjusting to playing without De’Aaron Fox. He also added that Derek Willis and Wenyen Gabriel are both stepping up.
