After Kentucky defeated LSU 92-85, in front of 23,657 fans inside Rupp Arena, John Calipari, Wenyen Gabriel and Bam Adebayo spoke to the media.
Calipari discussed the lapse in the final 8 minutes, rebounding issues for Malik Monk and hockey assists of Isaiah Briscoe.
Gabriel spoke glowingly about Isaiah Briscoe creating plays. The freshman also said he is more confident in his three point shot. On the poor defensive play in the last 8 minutes Gabriel said, “We started reverting.” On the talk of the four spot Coach Calipari Gabriel said, “We are just trying to take responsibility for what we’ve been doing”
Adebayo finished with 8 points 9 rebounds 1 block in 24 minutes of action. The freshman big man discusses Calipari wanting to have a 3 hour practice, he said, “If we puke we puke.” He also talks about rebounding, playing defense with three fouls switching onto guards and being a rim protector.
