On the latests edition of Inside The Madness, a Facebook Watch series that is following Kentucky Basketball this season, it showed Seth Greenberg giving a speech to the Kentucky team. John Calipari has talked about bringing in people to talk to the team including former players. Today the players discussed what they get out of these guest speakers.

Sacha Killeya-Jones was impressed by a player that was at UK before Calipari, “Chuck Hayes came in a couple weeks ago, he said a lot of good things. He let us know what he did in terms of fight to get to the next level and his story. That definitely was a moving talk.”

Jermal Baker who has been injured still learned a lot, “It just a great experience to be able to learn from people and it just helps me as a person more than anything.”

Nick Richards was motivated by Karl Anthony-Towns and DeMarcus Cousins, “I hope that one day I can be up there on that wall, where all those posters (of former UK player in the NBA) are in gym. I just hope one day I can be up there.”

Wenyen Gabriel tries to take something from each speaker, “I feel like all the speakers always make you think a little bit more, just a little more intuitively and kind of look at yourself in the mirror and see if what he is saying matches it. I always try to take away something from everyone who speaks.”

PJ Washington discussed the speech former Virginia Tech Coach Seth Greenberg gave the team He credited him with starting a change for UK by telling the team to player harder and together, “That was one of the great turn arounds of the year I’d say.”

Kevin Knox got advice from former Cats who are now in the pros, “They just said this is one of the hardest places to play and practice. They are going to push you hard, you got to be able to fight through it, they are going to push you outside your comfort zone.”
