Gabriel played for Kentucky from 2017-2018. The 6-9 forward averaged 5.7 points per game in his college carer with an average of 5.1 rebounds and one block.
In Lexington, he’ll be best be remembered for his outstanding SEC tournament run in 2018 that earned him 2018 All-SEC Tournament first-team honors after shooting 7-7 from three and scoring 23 points in an 86-63 semifinals victory over Alabama.
After his two seasons at Kentucky, Gabriel signed as an un drafted free agent with the Sacramento Kings. He spent the entire 2018-19 season in the G-League, but this season has appeared in 11 NBA games averaging 1.7 points per game.
He’ll hope to earn more minutes as a member of the Portland Trailblazers.
