Kentucky Wildcat legend Anthony Davis may only be 26 years old, but he’s already a seven-time NBA all-star.
The NBA announced Thursday that Davis was elected by the fans to be the starting center for the Western Conference in the 2020 NBA all-star game in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. This will mark the fourth career all-star game start for the former Wildcat.
Davis is in his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers after spending seven seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans.
This season, Davis is averaging 26.6 points per game with 9.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks. His Lakers currently are 35-9 on the season and rank first in the Western Conference.
Davis led the Wildcats to the 2012 National Championship in a season that saw him named the Consensus National Player of the Year.
