For the first time in his pro career, former Kentucky Wildcat Bam Adebayo is an NBA-all-star.

Thursday, the NBA announced Adebayo was among 14 players to be named to the all-star team as reserves.

Adebayo was drafted by the Miami Heat with the 14th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and is having a breakout season in the third year of his career. The former Wildcat center is averaging 16 points per game with 10.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

With Adebayo leading the way, Miami currently ranks third in the Eastern Conference with a 32-15 record.

In his lone season at Kentucky in 2017, Adebayo averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 rebounds. He helped Kentucky win the SEC Tournament and reach the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

Adebayo joins Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers) as former Wildcats to be named 2020 NBA all-stars.

The all-star game will take place Feb. 16 in Chicago.
