Fresh off breaking their four-game losing streak at Thomas-Bowling Arena in Knoxville, the No. 12 Kentucky Wildcats (18-5, 8-2) will return to the Volunteer State Tuesday when they head to Nashville to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores (9-14, 1-9).
Tuesday’s matchup will be a rematch of a January 29th contest that saw Kentucky erase a double-digit second-half deficit to defeat the Commodores 71-62 at Rupp Arena.
Since then, Kentucky is 2-1 while Vanderbilt broke their historic 26-game SEC losing streak with an upset victory over then first-place LSU.
In their previous matchup, Vanderbilt’s Saben Lee stole the show as he dropped a game-high 21 points despite his teams’ loss. Kentucky was led by Tyrese Maxey, with 17 points and Nick Richards who added 15.
The Wildcats have won seven straight games over the Commodores as Vanderbilt’s last win came in 2016 with a 74-62 victory in Nashville.
With the rematch a day away, Kentucky’s Joel Justus, Ashton Hagans and Keion Brooks met with the media to preview the matchup. Hear from all three Wildcats below courtesy of The Boot Store.
