Wood enrolled at Kentucky in January of 2019 after a successful high school career at Lexington’s Lafayette High School. He redshirted as a true freshman in 2017 and served as the teams’ third-string quarterback each of the last two seasons.
In 2019, Wood appeared in two games where he completed two passes on three attempts and ran for 22 yards.
He will now head to Lake Charles, Louisiana, to join the McNeese State Cowboys of the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Cowboys are members of the Southland Conference. The team hired former LSU assistant Frank Wilson as head coach in January.
