Tennessee State is an FCS program located in Nashville that is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference. The Tigers are coming off a 3-9 season and will play two games in the Bluegrass State against former UK assistants this season as they’ll visit Dean Hood and Murray State and Matt Wells and Eastern Kentucky.
Hawkins played in nine games as a redshirt freshman for the Wildcats last season. He recorded two tackles for loss, including a sack in the Cats 45-13 victory over Louisville. He was best known for bringing energy on the sidelines as his dance moves were the talk of several post-game media sessions.
