The Kentucky Wildcats have landed the highest recruit in the Commonwealth in the class of 2021.

Sunday, four-star offensive guard Jager Burton committed to Kentucky over Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson and Oregon.

Burton is a Lexington native who is playing his high school football at Frederick Douglass High School.

The offensive lineman is the highest-rated player in the state of Kentucky per 247sports composite rankings, the eighth-ranked offensive guard in the nation and 125th overall prospect. He joins high school teammate and wide receiver Dekel Crowdus as the second four-star recruit in Kentucky’s 2021 class.

Burton is the third offensive lineman to join the Wildcats 2021 class joining three-star recruits Paul Rodriguez and David Wohlabaugh.

The Wildcats continue to land many of the top talents in the state of Kentucky as five of the top 10 highest ranked players in the Commonwealth are currently committed to UK in Burton (1), Crowdus (3), Jordan Lovett (5), La’Vell Wright (6) and Kaiya Sheron (8).
