The Kentucky Wildcats (1-3) are off to their worst start since 2000 and will face another tough non-conference opponent Saturday as they’ll play host to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (1-2).

Notre Dame enters play, coming off a five-point loss to No. 22 Ohio State in South Bend. Their other loss came to No. 4 Michigan State on Nov. 28, while their lone victory of the season so far came against Detroit Mercy on Dec. 6.

Saturday’s game will be the first of a three-game set between Kentucky and Notre Dame as the two teams’ will play at a neutral site in 2021 and UK will visit South Bend in 2022. The last meeting between the two teams’ came during the 2015 NCAA Tournament, where Kentucky defeated the Irish 68-66 to earn a trip to the Final Four. UK leads the all-time series 43-19.
