The Kentucky Wildcats dropped to 1-5 for the first time since the 1926-27 season Saturday as they fell 75-63 to the No. 22 North Carolina Tar Heels in a CBS Sports Classic showdown in Cleveland. 

Kentucky’s front court could not stay out of their own way as Lance Ware and Isaiah Jackson both fouled out with over six minutes left to play while Olivier Sarr fouled out with just over 4:30 to play and Terrence Clarke fouled out with a minute to play. 

Davion Mintz led the way for UK as he scored 17 points in the loss while Brandon Boston scored 15 and Devin Askew finished with 11 points.

Armando Bacot led the victorious Tar Heels as he scored 14 points while grabbing eight rebounds, while Kerwin Walton (13) Caleb Love (11 and Garrison Brooks (11) also played a vital role in the UNC win, scoring in double-figures.

Kentucky will be back in action next Saturday when they take on the rival Louisville Cardinals (4-1) at the KFC Yum! Center.
