Some of the Kentucky Men’s basketball team delivered packed lunches to Picadome Elementary as a part of the UK Athletics-God’s Pantry “Back Pack” community service program.

While there they also played some games with the children. Afterwards senior Mychal Mulder and freshman De’Aaron Fox talked about the experience.

Fox and MulderUK Athletics is partnering with God’s Pantry of Lexington for a seventh consecutive year to help pack and distribute food-filled grocery bags to underprivileged youth in Fayette County. Each team and staff at UK Athletics participates in the outreach program.

UK Athletics packs 150 bags each week (50 bags per school) and will pack and deliver 5,100 lunches for the entire 2016-17 school year. The Kentucky men’s basketball team packed the lunches on Wednesday and will be delivering them to Cassidy, Lansdowne and Picadome elementary schools throughout the day Friday.
