The Kentucky players spoke to the on the annual Kentucky Basketball Media Day.

De’Aaron Fox

The freshman point guard talks about the athleticism of the guards. Fox discusses the shooting ability of this team some think it will be a liability he disagrees with that. He admits practice has been tough both on the offensive and defensive ends. When asked how fast this team will go Fox responded, “Can I go above 100 miles per hour?”

Malik Monk 

The high flying freshman spoke about his defense which was an issue before he got to UK, “I started playing defense as soon as I got here.” Monk mentioned it was easier in high to score. He claims he dunked on Dominique Hawkins. Monk doesn’t think this team will have a true point guard, but that could be a problem for their opponents.

Isaiah Briscoe

Isaiah Briscoe says he was asked “a lot” about his shot during media day (he is working on it.) The sophomore talked about becoming a leader. Briscoe also spoke on the NBA combine and he wanted it to be known that he stat book released might be wrong he says he is 6’3″. Briscoe talks about Dominique Hawkins’ strength.
