For the first time in 2019, the Kentucky Wildcats (2-1) enter a new week looking to rebound after a loss. Saturday Kentucky lost a heartbreaker to the No. 9 Florida Gators (3-0) by a final score of 29-21 despite taking a 21-10 lead into the fourth quarter.

With the loss behind them, the Wildcats will now shift their focus to the Mississippi State Bulldogs (2-1). Mississippi State is also coming off a loss on their home turf as they lost to an unranked Kansas State team last Saturday.

This weekends game will mark the 47th all-time meeting between the two programs and will break the 23-23 tie currently in place. Kentucky defeated the then-ranked No. 14 Bulldogs last season in Lexington by a final score of 28-7. If Kentucky can win Saturday, it will be their first victory in Starkville since 2008 and be the first time they’ve won back to back games over the Bulldogs since 2005-06.

Ready to rebound, Mark Stoops held his weekly press conference Monday to reflect on the Florida game and preview the upcoming match-up with Mississippi State.
