The Kentucky Wildcats (12-4, 3-1) will look to put Wednesday’s heartbreaking loss behind them Saturday when they travel west to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks (14-2, 3-1).
Arkansas is off to a strong start to the season under first-year head coach Eric Musselman. They have lost just two games and are fresh off a 77-55 victory over Vanderbilt on their home floor.
The Hogs are led by a guard combination of Mason Jones and Isaiah Joe. Jones ranks third in the SEC with 18.1 points per game while Joe ranks fourth with 17.8.
Last season, Kentucky defeated Arkansas 70-66 in Lexington despite the Razorbacks leading by as many as 15 in the second half.
All-time Kentucky is 32-11 against the Hogs with the most recent Arkansas victory coming in Lexington on Feb. 27th. That year Arkansas swept a two-game season series from the Cats.
Coming off a loss to South Carolina and only having two top 25 victories according to the kenpom rankings (Michigan State 8, Louisville 10) Saturday’s game would be a huge momentum booster as the Hogs rank 25th in the kenpom.
