Richmond had a strong 2019-20 season as they finished 24-7 and in second place in the Atlantic 10 conference only behind the Dayton Spiders. In Joe Lunardi’s final edition of bracketology, he projected the Spiders as one of the final four teams in the tournament and as a 12-seed in the East Region.
Not only is Richmond a quality non-conference foe but they’re a team Kentucky has reportldely been scouting. Rumors have linked the Wildcats to Spiders grad-transfer and 6’10 big-man Grant Golde.
In other news, Basketball Hall of Fame President & CEO John Doleva announced in a press release Tuesday they Hall of Fame still plans to go through with their matchup between Kentucky and Michigan in London.
“With many athletic events being postponed and canceled due to COVID-19, the Basketball Hall of Fame remains diligent in monitoring the situation and making decisions in the best interest of public health,” the release states. “At this time, we are moving forward with plans to host the inaugural London Showcase at The O2 in December 2020.
