Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow have another Yahtzee. Sunday evening, three-star wide receiver Armond Scott announced on Instagram that he will play his college football as a Kentucky Wildcat.
Scott is a three-star wide receiver ranked as the 19th overall player from the state of Ohio by 247sports. The 6-3 wideout chose UK over Cincinnati, Boston College, Michigan State, Toledo, Wake Forest, Akron and Iowa State.
Kentucky has now added two prospects to their 2021 recruiting class as defensive end Kahlil Saunders committed to the Cats earlier this weekend.
Stoops and Marrow have six commitments lined up in total for 2021, with the other four being three-star quarterback Kaiya Sheron, three-star wide receiver Chauncey Magwood and three-star offensive tackles David Wohlabaugh and Paul Rodriguez. So far, the class ranks 52nd in the nation and 11th in the SEC.
In other news, the UK coaching staff learned they’ll have two additional scholarships to work with while filling out their 2021 class as defensive lineman Cavon Butler and Davon Hawkins announced they have entered the transfer portal.
The next name to watch is four-star wide receiver and Lexington native Dekel Crowdus who will be announcing his selection May. 10 with Kentucky considered the favorites.
