Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow continue to add to their 2021 recruiting class while working from the comforts of their own home. Wednesday three-star running back, La’Vell Wright committed to Kentucky to become the first running back in UK’s 2021 class.

Wright is a native of the Commonwealth as he plays his high school football at North Hardin High School in Radcliff, Ky. He is ranked as the eighth-best prospect in the state by 247sports and the state’s top running back.
He is the second in-state prospect UK has added for 2021 joining three-star quarterback Kaiya Sheron. Wright is the seventh commit of Kentucky’s 2021 class joining Sheron, three-star wide receivers Chauncey Magwood and Armond Scott three-star offensive lineman Paul Rodriguez and David Wohlabaugh and defensive end Kahlil Saunders.
247 now ranks Kentucky’s class 45th best in the nation and eighth in the SEC.
